Natac Group doubles ingredient capacity with new factory

The company produces plant extracts from botanical species known in the region such as olive trees, grapes, and saffron, as well as from species grown in remote geographical areas such as rhodiola.

The new facility has almost 21,000 m2, in which the first phase of the factory has over 6,500 m2 of production area, offices and warehouse. A multi-product center in which various extraction technologies are combined with other production equipment has an estimated annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons of raw material, double the company’s previous production capacity, a spokesperson for Natac told NutraIngredients-USA.

“Multiple technological factors, not to mention its organic certification, make this production plant a world reference and the most efficient and clean in our industry,”​ said Antonio Delgado Romero, CEO of the Natac Group.

Hervás is located in the north of the Extremadura region in the west of Spain bordering Portugal. Natac maintains strategic alliances with local producers providing a vertically integrated model for its natural ingredients with sustainability and traceability guarantees, said the company.

The inauguaration of the new factory on June 2 was attended by Guillermo Fernández-Vara, President of the Junta de Extremadura, Patricia Valle Corriols, Mayor of Hervás, and other representatives of the regional government.
